Contaminant Mapping of an Acid Tailings Leak Using EM Conductivity

An HEM survey over an existing base-metal mine tailings pond detected a conductivity anomaly outside of the tailings confinement dam. This anomaly was caused by a hidden leak of the acid tailings under the dam. Small lakes downstream of the leaking tailings pond also show elevated conductivity.
