GEOTEM Survey in Sweden Storliden Deposit
| The Storliden Cu-Zn VMS Deposit (10% Zinc, 4% Copper) was discovered by drilling in March 1998 as follow up of a GEOTEM survey carried out in 1997. The deposit is located 8 km NE from the city of Malå in the Skellefte Mining District of Northern Sweden. The deposit top is at a depth of approx. 130 m, including approx. 20 m of glacial till overburden.
- Strong EM Response on all 24 channels
(12 channels Z-Axis and 12 channels X-Axis)
- Coincident positive magnetic anomaly
- Interpreted conductor geometry.
Dip direction SW
Dip angle < 30°
Analysis of the Z and X axes GEOTEM data indicates that the GEOTEM response is primarily from the deep-seated,sub-horizontal massive Cu-Zn sulphides and not the stringer sulphide zone which sub outcrops. |
