GEORANGER

Introduction

Fugro Airborne Surveys offers the petroleum and mining industries high-resolution aeromagnetic surveys using the GeoRanger state-of-the-art Unmanned Airborne Vehicle (UAV).

The GEORANGER system was developed in cooperation with the Insitu Group Inc., a pioneer developer of long-range, unmanned, autonomous aircraft.

GeoRanger advanced technology features include:

• Intelligent error handling
• Autonomous return-to-base in the event of in-flight difficulties
• Continuous telemetry of geophysical data with aircraft performance parameters
• Autonomous 3D flight path
• Long range Iridium satellite telemetry
• Optional radar altimeter
• Capability to operate multiple vehicles from a single Ground Control Station (GCS)
