Fugro Airborne Surveys offers an optional Magnetic Horizontal Gradiometer on RESOLVE and DIGHEM HEM surveys. Gradient enhancement of the total field magnetic data results in increased resolution of complex geology and improves the positioning of magnetic anomalies. A 5 metre sensor separation and low helicopter survey height ensures increased sensitivity.

Horizontal Gradient Enhanced
Magnetic Data
Record horizontal gradient (HG) and total magnetic field at the same time.
HG will do a better job of mapping near surface magnetic bodies than total field.
HG provides more geometric information than the total magnetic field.
HG is more sensitive to smaller bodies and objects to one side of the flight line, making it possible to define the body better when only two flight lines cross the object.
